4. Translate your documents from Notary public
For Diversity Visa (DV) winners who are applying for immigration to the United States, translation of documents from Notary Public may be required as part of the application process. This is because all documents submitted to the US government must be in English or accompanied by an English translation.
Notary Public is an official authorized by the government to certify and attest to the authenticity of documents. When you obtain a translation of your document from a Notary Public, it means that the Notary Public has verified the accuracy of the translation and has certified that the translation is a true and accurate representation of the original document.
In the context of DV winners, translation of documents from Notary Public may be required for various documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, educational documents, and police clearance certificates. These documents must be translated into English, and the translation must be certified by a Notary Public.
It is important to note that the translation of documents from Notary Public is not required for all DV winners. The requirement for translation depends on the specific document and the issuing authority. For example, some documents may be issued in English, while others may not require translation if they are issued by a government agency that provides translations in English. For proper notary translation you can watch the video, or get help from Gorkhey Online Service Center.
5. Photographs, other documents and financial management:
For the medical and interview you need to take PP size, that is 2/2 size photo of each applicant. For DV winners, a 2/2 photo is essential for several reasons. First, it is required as part of the medical examination process. The photo helps to confirm the identity of the applicant and is used to match the individual with their medical records.
Second, a 2/2 photo is also required for the visa interview. During the interview, the consular officer will verify the identity of the applicant and compare their appearance to the photo on file. If the applicant's appearance has changed significantly since the photo was taken, it could cause delays or even result in a denial of the visa application.
You need to prepare other documents like educational documents, working experience documents, photographs- if you are newly married after first DS-260 form submission etc. Pleaser refer a blog 'Interview Preparation and Instructions for DV Winners in Nepal' for more information regarding the required documents and interview fees.
For the financial management, except the general expenses, you have to prepare in average NRs. 35k for medical check-up and NRs. 40k for interview for each applicant. The rate will vary each year on the basis of currency rate and terms/condition of IOM hospital and US Embassy of Nepal.
