It is last and another important stage for each DV winners. If you are granted for the visa, the consular office keep the passport and instructs you to create visa profile. To create a visa profile for a DV winner after the interview at the US Embassy in Nepal, please follow the steps below:
- Visit the website: Start by going to the official US Embassy in Nepal website at https://www.ustraveldocs.com/np/.
- Create a new account: Click on the 'create new account' option and create an account using your email ID. Ensure that you set a unique password and complete all the requirements.
- Log in: Once you have created your account, log in using your email ID and password. You will see a dashboard, and remember that you will only need to create the account once. In the future, you can simply log in using your email ID and password.
- Update your profile: On the dashboard, click on the 'update profile' option and fill out all the required information based on your passport, 2NL, and other documents.
- New application/schedule appointment: Click on the 'new application/schedule appointment' option from the top-left menu. In step 1, select the 'Registration of passport's delivery address (only for immigrant visa applicant)' and click 'continue.'
- Select your visa type: Choose the 'DV1- Diversity Immigrant' from the list and click 'continue.'
- Accept the terms and conditions: If the terms and conditions appear, read them carefully and accept them. Then click on 'continue.'
- Check the form: Verify that all the information you provided in the profile update is correct. In this step, you can also see the 'priority date' option. Choose any date after your interview as the priority date as per your convenience to get the visa. However, keep in mind that your preferred priority date is not a guarantee that you will receive your visa on that date. Then click on 'continue.'
- Add applicants: In the next steps, add any derivatives if you have them and update their information as required in the forms.
- Choose a location: Select the location where you want to collect your visa. You can only choose Nepal Investment Bank offices as the collection location, as given in the list. If you wish to collect the visa outside the Kathmandu Valley, there is an additional fee of Rs. 500 for each location.
- Generate the barcode slip: Once you have chosen the collection location, generate the 'bar code' slip. This slip indicates that you have completed the process of creating your visa profile. After you receive an email notification from the embassy that your passport with visa has been delivered to the collection location, go to the bank with the slip and your identity card to collect your passport and visa.
