I hope you have submitted the required documents required by KCC correctly. If you still need help in this regard, you can get information by going to the link given here: Full Instructions: How to Submit Further Required Documents to KCC? One of the most important step in the U.S.A EDV process.
In this article, I will introduce you to the second most
important letter for the American EDV process that is basically called 2NL.
Once your documents have been received by KCC and processed for the rest of the process, then you have to wait for the 2NL. The KCC updates the Visa Bulletin every month with information of number of 2NL letter sending to which country for the DV lottery winners. This update starts in August or September of each year. This Visa Bulletin update process ends in July or August of the following year. Sooner or later you will receive a 2NL letter depending on your case number (low or high) and Visa Bulletin updates.
Visa Bulletin are updated every month with a minimum of 500 and a maximum of 2,500 case numbers. This data is likely to go up and down a bit. This data may also depend on the workload at KCC. For example, a small number of case numbers are updated in the Visa Bulletin for the first month of a year's DV process, and a small number of case numbers are updated in month of the December because of the Christmas and annual holidays. Also, if your case number is low, you may receive a 2NL letter within the first or second month of the Visa Bulletin update. Accordingly, if your case number is high, you will also receive the 2NL letter quite later. Sooner or later, or the month in which you receive the 2NL letter, all will be determined by the number of case numbers updated in the Visa Bulletin. So patiently check the case number that is updated in the Visa Bulletin every month.
How to check if you have received a 2NL letter?
When your case number is current in the Visa Bulletin, then
you will receive an email from KCC within one week to 10 days.
Then you have to go to the same link https://dvprogram.state.gov/ESC/ that was opened when you first filled in the DV or when checking the results of the DV lottery. Now you have to go through the same process as you checked the DV results earlier. After entering your confirmation code, birth year, and last name correctly, you will see your 2NL letter. In other words, some of the necessary information in your first letter has been revised and put in same place.
The 2NL letter specifically mentions the date and time of the interview scheduled at the US Embassy in your country, as well as the names of the beneficiaries with you to go USA. Those people will be your family members.
For this process, if you have not taken the help of any consultant, all the procedures will be done for free. But now you have to spend your money for the rest of the process. Upon receipt of the 2NL letter, you will need to do medical check-up of you and your family members at the health depart/hospital suggested by the embassy.
Where to get the medical health check? How much does a health check-up and interview cost? In the next article, we will discuss how to prepare for a health check-up and interview. Stay healthy, and stay busy.
