Important things to be remembered, before submitting further required documents:
Collect and submit your documents promptly. Your case will not be scheduled for a visa interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate until KCC has received and processed all required documents. Missing or illegible documents will delay processing of your case. If you cannot obtain a particular document, send an explanation of why you cannot obtain the document, as an attachment in .jpeg or .pdf format, to KCCDVDocuments@state.gov, with your case number in the subject line. Diversity visas are numerically limited and there is no guarantee a visa will be available. Only a consular officer can determine, at the time of the visa interview, if you are qualified to receive a Diversity Visa.
If your documents are not in English, you will need to translate them all into English. And the translation should be done by an official body, that is, a Notary Public. So take your birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc. documents that are in Nepali or other languages, go to the nearest notary public and translate. Notary public staff will facilitate the translation. Make sure the information contained in the translated document is complementary to your original, and make sure it is notarized with official stamps. It should be noted that the notary public is only authorized by a limited number of organizations and lawyers in any country/state, so only translate your documents from the authorized organization. Otherwise, you will be deceived.
Make the police report from the Central Police Administrative Office as much as possible, whose recognition will be even stronger than local police station. And it may take a log time to get police report from local police station. All family members over the age of 16 must have a police report and use the language English. If you have been living abroad for more than a year, you will also need to get a police report from the country or state concerned. That can be a daunting task, but be patient. You can get the help of the concerned embassy for such a police report.
I would like to remind you again that the process for your 2NL Letter or interview will proceed only after you have sent the supporting documents to KCC, so be very careful before sending supporting documents to KCC. Once all the documents are ready, scan those documents and save them in .jpg or .pdf format. Name the files based on the information given below. The name of your file should mention the following things:
Your DV Case Number,
The Full Name of the Applicant, Whose Document you Scannel, and
The Document Name of Form Number.
For Example:
2021AF00918652_Shyam_Rai_Passport.pdf
2021AF00918652_Hari_Bhattarai_Birth_Certificate.pdf
Use your case number as the subject of the email. The maximum email size is 30MB. If the total size of your attachments is larger than 30MB, send multiple emails using your case number as the subject of each email. Please send your documents for KCC review only after you have collected all of the required documents for yourself and all accompanying family members. Send documents only to the kccdvdocuments@state.gov email address.
Even if you have received an email from the
address kccdv@state.gov asking for additional
required documents, the email address to which your documents should be sent
is: kccdvdocuments@state.gov, keep in mind.
Otherwise your process will be wasted.
Documents photographed or scanned with a mobile phone are acceptable, but every document must be fully legible. Illegible or incomplete documents must be re-submitted and will delay processing of your case. All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which the application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator that states that the translation is accurate and the translator is competent to translate.
